Ingrédients

  • One fresh pineapple
  • Two cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Toothpicks or skewers

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the pineapple. Chop the fresh pineapple into smaller pieces or longer, rounded slices. Use a paper towel to dry the pineapple pieces thoroughly, removing as much moisture as possible.
  • Step 2: Melt the Chocolate. Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil into another microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second batches and stir until the chocolate has melted and reached your desired consistency.
  • Step 3: Dip the Pineapple pieces with the help of a toothpick or skewer, and pierce each portion of the pineapple. Take each piece and immerse it into the melted chocolate, and with a slight shake, make sure that the excess chocolate comes out before putting it aside. To prepare pineapple with a white chocolate coating, add melted white chocolate.
  • Step 4: Add Toppings (Optional). As explained above, this should be done on the chocolate while it is wet; pour toppings on each of your confections. You can also caramelize or add toppings to the cake, such as coconut or sprinkles.
  • Step 5: Let the Chocolate Set . After the pineapple pieces have been dipped, place them onto another baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put the dish into the refrigerator and wait until the chocolate becomes firm, for about 20 minutes.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy! After setting your Chocolate Covered Pineapple, it is now ready for serving. This one is best consumed fresh, but it doesn’t mean it cannot be enjoyed later.
