Equipment

  • 9-inch Springform Pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric Mixer
  • Spatula
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Parchment Paper
  • Wire Rack

Ingrédients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Strawberry jam

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Battery.
Heat your oven to medium, around 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Preheat oven to 350F, grease a 9-inch springform pan, and place parchment paper in the bottom.
In a big bowl, combine butter, sugar, cream and cream cheese until soft, light and well blended. Beat in the eggs individually, and stir in the vanilla extract afterwards.
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl to create these ingredients for a dry mix.
Add the dry products into it gradually and follow the same procedure with the heavy cream.
  • Step 2: Bake the Cake
To the batter, spread it into the prepared pan and level the surface with a spatula.
Bake this for 40-45 minutes or until the plastic middle is placed in the centre of the cake and tests clean.
Let the cake stand in the pan for 10 minutes, then move it to a rack.
  • Step 3: Finishing Touches
When the cake has cooled, sift icing sugar over it, bearing in mind that the more sugar, the better it will taste.
The best way to take it is to serve it with a spoon of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzled with a red jam or sauce.

Notes

Helpful Tips

  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients : Bringing butter, eggs, and cream cheese to room temperature ensures a smoother batter and better texture.
  • Don’t Overmix : Overmixing can lead to a dense cake. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Oven temperatures vary, so watch your cake as it bakes. Stick a toothpick in to ensure it’s cooked through.
  • Chill for a Firmer Texture : If you prefer a firmer texture, let the cake chill in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
