Ingrédients
  

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 package of freeze-dried strawberries, ground into a fine powder

24-30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Dough.
    In a big bowl, stir the butter and sugar until paste-like and light in texture. Mix in the egg and the vanilla extract using a spatula.
  • Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients.
    In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, salt and freeze-dried strawberry powder and whisk it. Subsequently, evenly blend the contents of the dry mixture with the ingredients in the wet mixture until properly kneaded to form a dough.
  • Step 3: Chill the Dough that you may incorporate when baking so as to enable your cookies to hold the desired shape. Place the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes before baking to get the desired results.
  • Step 4: Shape and Bake Beatrice Preheat your oven to 350degF (175degC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper before starting this step.
    Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them on your prepared baking sheet, leaving about two inches between each ball.
    Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges have turned lightly golden brown.
  • Step 5: Press in a Kiss
    To add an adorable finishing touch, immediately press a chocolate kiss into each cookie while still warm.
    Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before moving them onto a wire rack for further cooling.
